Since 1980 CTI has proven experience in design, manufacture and servicing of heat transfer equipment for the Oil, Chemical, Petrochemical, Gas, Electric Utility  and General Service Industry.

CTI’s Design Engineers are trained to perform the best thermal and mechanical design for each type of equipment, complying with our client’s requirements and specifications as well as strict adherance to the pertaining Standars and Codes to obtain the most eficient, economical, and the smallest possible equipment by using the most advance technical software. Hence, we are able to guaranteed:

[1] Complete new thermal and mechanical design of a shell & tube heat exchanger to comply with our client’s requirements for process conditions, specifications, codes and standards.

[2] Thermal simulation of an existing unit to meet new required process conditions.

[3] Alternative evaluations to improve the equipment heat transfer.

[4] Thermal & mechanical design for firetube boilers.

[5] Process separation and mechanical design for pressure vessels, using process warranty given by the separation internal device manufacturer.

Custom Engineering

CTI perform custom design complying with our client’s special needs & requirements, interacting with them during the complete unit design and manufacture processes, from the beginning of the bidding phase to the final unit delivery assuring the complete client’s satifaction.

Our well trained field technical personnel is capable to evaluate the existing on site unit and in conjuction with the thermal rating specialist, can offer to the client  the best solution in order to improve and take advantage of the existing capabilities.

Specialized Service

CTI has specilized Engineers for the design of Shell & Tube Heat Exchanger, usign the specific standards for this kind of equipment, such as ASME, TEMA,API, ASTM, AWS, Etc. Also has specilized software for:

[1] Basic Thermal rating design based on the HTRI xchanger suite program.

[2] Detailed Mechanical Calculation, Based on ASME Section VIII Division 1, Wind and Seismic Calculation Based on UBC, ASCE, PDVSA JA-221 codes and standard. Those software were in house developed.

[3] Detailed Enigineer automated Mechanical Pressure parts & General Arrengement Drawings. This software was supplied by an external source (RCS).

[4] Detailed mechanical calculation based on ASME Section VIII, Div. 1 and supplied by an external source program, APV (Advance Pressure Vessel).
